Kathleen M. Johnson, B.A. (she/her)

Owner and Consultant Kathleen Johnson works with a team of advisors to ensure she delivers quality training and services. She holds a degree in Sociology and Cultural Anthropology from Carleton University, a Paralegal Diploma from Canadian Business College, and is a Certified Life Coach with Certified Coaches Federation. She has recently acquired a Certificate in Diverstiy and Inclusion with Cornell University's ECornell. Kathleen learned to express herself in writing, poetry and music at an early age. She has read her original poetry at The Glenbow Museum, and served as the ambassador for the Caribbean Festival Carifest, Her parents were part of the first wave of immigration from the Caribbean in the 1960's with her father serving as the first officer of Colour on the Calgary Police Force. A single parent of 5 children ages 15 to 23 with special needs including Autism, ADHD, and LD, Kathleen has been a tireless advocate in school, social, and medical systems. She sits on the board of Humanist Canada as the Alberta Representative and Chair of the Governance Committee, building alliances with Human Rights initiatives and groups across the province. Critical Black Thought Society is a Facebook group she founded to help the Black community critically dissect issues affecting its progress. She interviews thought leaders in the community on matters to do with key issues influencing well-being, reconciling the past, and moving forward.
